Lady Sings the Blues. What's that about? It could be that blue is one of quilt artist Heather Hochbaum's favourite colours and that's why she's titled her first solo exhibition after the name of a famous song. But it's much more than that.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada has announced the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada has designated the Old Man on His Back Prairie and Heritage Conservation Area ranch as a nocturnal preserve.

MAIDSTONE — July 16 was a fun day at the Maidstone Museum for children five to 11 years sponsored by the Rivers West Sports, Culture and Recreation Association out of North Battleford. Two young ladies spent most of the day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

MAIDSTONE — July 25, a number of Maidstone seniors attended a bash for Vic Hult’s 70th birthday. Family and friends from near and far roasted and toasted the birthday boy.

Radisson held their annual show and shine July 26, and the day was perfect for the show. This was their largest show held, with more than 140 cars, trucks, tractors and bikes on display on both sides of Main Street, covering two blocks.
