Saturday night, Oct. 25 saw the 9th Annual Halloween Haunted Fort come to life at Fort Battleford National Historic Site with record-breaking attendance.

"It's a delight," says artist Dean Bauche about showing his work in a space that used to fall under his purview as director of galleries for the City of North Battleford. "I love this gallery. I love this space," he says.

Ever since I started at the Regional Optimist 11 months ago, my editor, Becky Doig, has been attending a boot camp program twice a week. So, after seeing the dedication she puts in every week, I wanted to check out this boot camp.

There were only three days of classes last week due to the two days of staff professional development. However, a lot of activities were packed into those three days.

The Gallery Singers will be performing at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts Sunday for the choral presentation In Harmony.

It wasn't until the family left home and were on their own that I would take up painting - something to keep me busy in my fast approaching golden years.
