Where has summer gone? September has come and it seems as if there has been no summer. The weather is really beautiful and harvest is well on its way. We just hope it can all be gathered in.

Canadian Legion of Riders, North Battleford is hosting a Veterans Day Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 70 parking lot. A $10 pledge buys breakfast in the morning and a burger later on.

Having lost his right leg in a farm accident, 17-year old Michal Danczak, of North Battleford, knows the importance of being safe at play. He rode on board the War Amps float with his fellow Champs in Regina's recent Queen City Ex Parade.

The Battlefords Vintage Automobile Club has had a busy summer, starting construction on what will become a museum attraction and working behind the scenes restoring vintage autos.

Eva and Jay Babineau and Kay Greenslade accompanied Cliff Greenslade to Millet, Alta., to attend Alder and Jean (née Steele)'s 65th wedding anniversary and Alder's 90th birthday.

Borden Friendship Club held their potluck supper and birthdays Aug. 28, with 38 members out, plus seven entertainers, to enjoy a wonderful supper and cake and ice cream.
