It is getting closer to spring and along with hockey playoffs and curling bonspiels there are a few more activities happening in Maidstone. The Winter Reading Program at the public library kicks off this week running Feb.

The Speers Library held a Valentine open house Feb. 13 with the theme being "Love Your Library." Adults and children were encouraged to hand make Valentines and the entries qualified for a draw.
