Saskatchewan country musician, Chris Henderson, has always tried to wave the Saskatchewan flag. That was the goal for his recent Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils (OSAC) 2017-2018 concert series tour.

Graham Dyck may not be a long standing member of the Humboldt community, but the newly minted Humboldtonian had the chance to represent Humboldt in a small way, when he travelled to Alberta to play some benefit concerts.

The crafting tradition continues at the St. Peter’s Abbey with the Saskatchewan Stitches Conference returning for its sixteenth year hosted by Haus of Stitches.

Writers from across the country descended upon St. Peter’s College for Sage Hill Writing’s Spring Colloquium, and to mark the occasion, writers were invited to the Reid-Thompson Public Library for a poetry reading on May 15.

Coming into Evraz Place, pop culture nerds from across the country were greeted with #humboldtstrong as they walked into FanExpo 2018 on May 5-6. This meant a lot to Humboldt’s own superhero Auroraman, a.k.a. Jeff Burton.

It has been a 40-year tradition for Mel Bolen and Karen Holden. And once again they opened their North Star studio and gallery to the public for the Mother’s Day Weekend open house on May 12 and 13.

MEDSTEAD — On the fabulous Saturday evening of May 12, at Ubettchas Tavern in Medstead, local band Raven She Hollers performed a live show to raise awareness and funds for their forthcoming music video.

MEDSTEAD — Excitement fills the air of Medstead in anticipation of Canadian fiddle champion Scott Wood’s performance on the evening of May 18.

Wadena kept theatre in the community with their most recent performance, Farce of Habit, taking the stage on May 3-5.
