It was another great conclusion to what is fast becoming a proud tradition in the Humboldt area. The sixth annual Pelican Bay Arts Festival wrapped up last week after four days of events.

Connie Kaldor, originally from Regina, performed at the Assumption Church in Marysburg on March 24. The concert was put on to raise money for the Assumption Church restoration project.

The city is looking for input from the public as to what to do with Sutherland Theatre and a local elementary school gym.

Betty Botter's batter really isn't all that bitter. And thanks to a chance at sweet redemption, neither are the members of the Bitter Batter School staff. Except, of course, for Mr. Hygiene.

Religious icons from all over the globe are in Humboldt this month. Icons from the collection belonging to Louise and Percy Schmeiser of Bruno will fill two display cases at the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery until after Easter.

People visiting the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery (HDMG) will be treated to a youthful art display. The St. Peter's College annual Student Art Exhibit is up at HDMG February 27 to March 27.

The Fonz is coming to Humboldt and he's bringing his friends, including Richie and Potzie. This year the Humboldt Collegiate Institute's (HCI) musical is "Happy Days," based on the popular television series.

The Humboldt and District Kinettes held their first ever Diva Kinnection on February 27 at the Bella Vista Inn as a fundraiser for Telemiracle.

She's more than happy to be coming back to her home province. Connie Kaldor, a singer songwriter originally from Saskatchewan who now lives in Montreal, will be in the province this spring.

An acoustic concert by Codie Prevost and fellow country artist Aaron Pritchett was held on February 18 at Sutherland Theatre in Humboldt. The concert raised about $500 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Humboldt.
