A 48-year-old man from Spiritwood has been sentenced to 15 months in jail after pleading guilty to two charges related to possession of cocaine and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Daniel Omer Guimond was charged Sept. 18 after RCMP executed a search warrant at his residence. Police say several types of illicit drugs were seized.

He was taken into custody and charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He was sentenced Oct. 28.
