Motorists are being advised 100th Street will be closed to traffic in both directions in the 1600 block today.
Earlier, it seemed the work crew would be able to leave northbound traffic unaffected while digging to repair the water line at 1641 - 100th Street.
However, it has now been deemed necessary to close the street to traffic in both directions.
During the repairs, which started at 6:30 a.m. Monday and are expected to take all day, traffic on 100th Street is being re-routed to 99th Street.
Although the City of North Battleford will do its best to repair the line without shutting off the water, notices of a possible water disturbance were handed out Friday to residents and businesses on the 1600 block of 100th Street to ask them to be prepared.
