A total of 25 drivers were charged during a commercial vehicle enforcement blitz by the Maidstone RCMP Enhanced Traffic Unit and the Highway Transport Patrol.
The three-day operation, June 2 to 4 occurred at the Marshall Scales located on Highway 16, east of Lloydminster.
Charges were laid for overweight violations, log book violations, and traffic safety offences. In addition, two license suspensions were issued for impaired driving.
The Maidstone RCMP would like to thank the Ministry of Highways, SGI, and the Wilton Compliance Division for organizing the joint operation.
