MELFORT — Melfort RCMP are asking for help in identifying two men connected to a theft. On Dec. 10 at 5: 30 p.m., police said two men entered a business on Highway 3 in Melfort and proceeded to steal several items.

As of January 14, a total of 11,985 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan.

HUMBOLDT — Two years ago the provincial auditor made recommendations to the Carlton Trail College on how it could improve its governance from its board of directors. A follow-up report said those recommendations have been implemented.

Two people arrested by the North Battleford RCMP gang unit had more appearances in North Battleford Provincial Court. Shynia Skeavington, 24, and Rae Ahenakew, 40, both of Mosquito First Nation, had appearances on Jan. 11 and Jan. 12 respectively.

A man accused of allegedly holding a girl captive at a remote northern Saskatchewan cabin had another show cause hearing scheduled on Jan. 11 in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.

Preliminary hearings were set in North Battleford Provincial Court for two men accused of killing Ryan Gatzke in 2019. The hearings for Jacob Ballantyne, 25, and Isaac Melko, 22, were set on Jan. 13, 2021. Ballantyne’s hearing will run from Oct.
