On Sept. 14 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Blaine Lake RCMP received the report of an adult male victim who was lying on the ground in front of a building in Blaine Lake.

There are 10 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 15, bringing the total to 1,741 reported cases. Of the 1,741 reported cases, 101 are considered active. A total of 1,616 people have recovered.

Building permit values continue to be up in North Battleford. According to the latest report for August, six permits were issued for $4,254,500, up from six permits for $1,106,500.

As of Wednesday, Sept. 16 the NationsWEST Field House is back open. That was announced at Monday’s council meeting by director of leisure services Cheryl DeNeire. Hours are Wednesday-Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. those days.

It’s estimated there are approximately 43,000 bears in Saskatchewan at the moment. This summer there have been reports of a bear entering a home in northern Saskatchewan, a bear attacking a runner and a bear hanging around a schoolyard.
