Canada’s children have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and should be prioritized in the country’s recovery efforts, a new report says.

EAST CENTRAL — Searching the Airbnb map for local stops, there are not a lot of options for east central Saskatchewan, especially compared to Saskatoon or Regina.

On Aug. 29, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Onion Lake RCMP received the report of an adult male who have been shot near a business on the east side of the Onion Lake First Nation. The 35-year-old adult male suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.

This past weekend, between Aug. 29 and 30, Saskatchewan RCMP responded to four separate fatal motor vehicle collisions in the Moose Jaw, Pelican Narrows, North Battleford and Fort Qu'Appelle detachment areas.

RCMP are looking for the driver in a fatal MVA. On Aug. 29, at approximately 7:30 p.m., North Battleford RCMP received the report of a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 4 north of Cochin.

A Calgary man charged with killing a Saskatchewan man was granted bail. Fayiah Victor Braima, 23, was initially denied bail on first-degree murder charges.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is notifying the public that an individual who tested COVID-19 positive visited the following businesses in Prince Albert when the individual was likely infectious: •Aug. 22 – Walmart, Cornerstone, from 10-11 a.m.

There are four new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Aug. 31, bringing the total to 1,619 reported cases. Of the 1,619 reported cases, 34 are considered active. A total of 1,561 people have recovered.

A Saskatoon man charged in connection to a string of robberies across central Saskatchewan that consisted of a joint investigation involving multiple police agencies had another court appearance Aug. 27.
