HUMBOLDT — The CEO of the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute has announced his retirement. Dave Gullacher will retire on June 30. He has been with PAMI for 35 years and served as CEO for 24 years.

MIDDLE LAKE — A business just off Highway 20 in Middle Lake saw someone enter and cause damage to a small building and a storage container on the property. Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP said the crime took place sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 8 a.m.

MELFORT — Melfort RCMP are asking the public for help to identify a man suspected to be connected to the theft of a debit card. The crime took place in Melfort on Nov. 13 or 14.

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum bids farewell to one of their loyal employees. Ina Williams has worked as secretary at the museum for more than 11 years.

The old St. Vital Church in Battleford has been granted a reprieve from the wrecker’s ball, at least for the next couple of months. The Town of Battleford had asked for fundraising submissions by noon on Jan. 3.

HUMBOLDT — A local lawyer has received an honour that few others in the province receive. Amber Biemans has received a Queen's Counsel designation from the province.

A reward has been offered in connection with a couple of incidents last fall in which cattle were shot.

Prince Albert RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a business located on Highway 2 North, approximately 30 km outside of Prince Albert, on Monday, Jan. 6. At approximately 7:30 p.m.

Bail had been denied in provincial court in North Battleford for an individual arrested last December by members of the Battlefords Gang Task Force. Trent Angus, 30, of Edmonton, Alta.

The Town of Battleford is cracking down on nuisance yards. These are yards with neglected alleys and laneways, as well as an accumulation of junked vehicles.
