EAST CENTRAL — Enrolment numbers in the Horizon School Division are down this year compared to last year. In the 2019-20 school year, there are 6,343 students enrolled, compared to 6,459 in 2018-19, a decrease of 116.

NIPAWIN — Nipawin council voted to fund their share of new playground equipment for the Pinedale Park Playground in partnership with the Nipawin Kinettes and Kinsmen.

A 20-year-old man suffered significant injuries after climbing a B.C. Hydro tower near Ladysmith, getting shocked and falling about 21 metres to the ground. He was airlifted to hospital and was listed in stable condition.
