Council gives Jan. 2020 deadline for a plan

CARROT RIVER — A 25-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle collision near Carrot River. On Aug. 19 at 06:45 a.m.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP caught two people on Main Street trying the door handles of all parked vehicles searching for unlocked vehicles and any valuables within.

The City of North Battleford will live up to its funding commitment for a new Handi-bus, but in a different way than council anticipated.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP are asking the public for information about two trespassers at the Humboldt Museum. On Aug. 4 at approximately 10:30 p.m., the two individuals gained access to the fire escape stairs at the back of the museum.

HUMBOLDT — Two storage units were broken into at a business on the south side of Humboldt, with items stolen and damage done. Humboldt RCMP said the incident occurred in the early hours on July 21.

The gallery at City Hall was a sea of red Monday evening. Supporters of North Battleford Firefighters Local 1756, the union representing fulltime firefighters in the city, were out in full force at a meeting of city council.

NIPAWIN — The Town of Nipawin is spending $22,750 plus taxes to implement a Geographic Information System (GIS) loaded with information on the town’s assets.
