The following is from an RCMP press release: Thursday evening, police responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 4 south of Battleford. The driver of the vehicle was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

JAMES SMITH CREE NATION — The Melfort RCMP is investigating the deaths of two James Smith Cree Nation residents.

A proposed new policy on naming rights and sponsorship for city facilities was up for discussion Monday night at City Hall.

RM says city’s asking price was too high

CARROT RIVER — Carrot River’s tax increase will be higher than expected. The town originally budgeted for a 1.9 per cent increase in taxes, but at the March 20 council meeting, they voted to change that to a 2.75 per cent increase.
