Due to extreme fire hazards, the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport has issued a restriction on all open fires at Candle Lake Provincial Park, Heritage Lake Recreation Site and Waskateena Recreation Site.

Preparations are being made on the Saskatchewan side of the border with respect to the wildfire threat.
