Friday at 10 p.m., the Battlefords RCMP received a complaint of a stabbing at a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation. An adult male was discovered suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body.

The Western Development Museum’s Volunteer Appreciation was held in April. Volunteers were awarded service pins. Albert Primeau was awarded a 10-year pin but was not at the event.

Students throughout North Battleford got to hear some tips on how to save money Wednesday, April 20. It was part of Talk With Our Kids About Money, a Battlefords Chamber of Commerce initiative supported by the BMO Bank of Montreal.

Thursday was Clean Up Day in North Battleford. The day was a joint effort involving City staff and volunteers who went out into the community picking up the trash.

It was announced Wednesday by Premier Brad Wall that the provincial legislature will return May 17. Proceedings will begin that day with the election of the Speaker in the morning, followed by the throne speech in the afternoon.

There has been another dumpster fire in North Battleford. This time it was located at the intersection of 114th Street and Pioneer Avenue around 2:49 a.m. Thursday.

A theft occurred at a business on Railway Avenue East in North Battleford March 9. Battlefords RCMP say a safe was taken from the business.

While the City of North Battleford is having a clean up day today, Thursday April 21, a day after Earth Day, the Town of Battleford is looking at a similar event.

There was a dumpster fire Wednesday morning on Thatcher Avenue in North Battleford. The call came at around 3:53 a.m. on the 10000 block, on the east side of the Old Dutch Foods warehouse.
