A woman facing charges in connection to a fatal collision near Cochin last November will see her matters return to provincial court May 7.

Firefighters had to deal with a large stubble fire Monday evening east of the Battlefords. The fire was located on Grid No. 687, two miles north of Highway 16 in the Denholm area.

We have had a really busy start to the spring season. The club has been involved with activities in North Battleford as well as other activities in the province. Feb. 28, the club hosted speeches.

GLASLYN — Glaslyn and district have been working hard to raise funds to fix the arch ribs supporting the roof of their skating rink.

HAFFORD — Taylor Reid, a Cloverbud from the Crown Hill 4-H Club, and Rayna Yasieniuk, an intermediate from Reigning Riders Light Horse Club, headed to Swift Current to represent the northwest region at the 4-H provincial speech competition, April 11.

WILKIE — Saskatchewan Roughriders, No. 19 kicker Chris Milo and No. 80 fullback Spencer Moore travelled on a snowy day to Wilkie to meet and greet their fans at the Delta Co-op, Wilkie food store location.

About a dozen people gathered at the Battleford Lions Clubhouse April 13 at 1:30 p.m. for a monthly Parkinson’s support group meeting. Good fellowship and exchange of experiences occurred among the members.

It was a major milestone long in coming, and it was Battlefords MLA Herb Cox who made the announcement in the legislature Monday afternoon.
