It was a beautiful summer day in Regina when a driver ran a red light and smashed into Andi Kriekle's car. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to roll onto its roof and slide upside down along the sidewalk.

A recent agreement has brought nine First Nation bands together in the delivery of second-level services for First Nations education. Treaty 6 Education Council will be responsible for services for those nine bands beginning April 1.

A former RCMP officer who worked briefly in the Battlefords has been charged in British Columbia with several counts of sexual assault against minors.

A glider pilot escaped a crash Sunday with what police describe as minor injuries. Cut Knife RCMP report the 57-year-old man was the lone occupant of the aircraft when he attempted to make an emergency landing on a secondary road at about 1 p.m.

Approximately 13 calls for service/occurrences were dealt with by Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Sunday, March 9 and 6 a.m. Monday, March 10. Among those calls were three false alarms Sunday 11:23 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to about 23 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8. Those calls included four false alarms and one nuisance 911 call. Thursday March 7th 2014 0600 a.m.
