City residents woke up to a thick haze early Friday morning as smoke from raging forest fires in the northern part of Saskatchewan enveloped Saskatoon, affecting the air quality.

NIPAWIN — The Town of Nipawin has issued a temporary water restriction and is advising town residents to restrict water usage as much as possible.
