Accidents over the weekend

The Battlefords has seen a number of motor vehicle collisions over the past several days. Thursday, a single vehicle rollover happened north of the city on Highway 4 at the grid 378 corner. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m.

The Battlefords has seen a number of motor vehicle collisions over the past several days.

Thursday, a single vehicle rollover happened north of the city on Highway 4 at the grid 378 corner. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Slippery roads were singled out as the cause of a rollover the next day, as emergency crews responded to a scene on Highway 16 about 17 kilometres west of the city.

The call came in to emergency personnel around 11:45 a.m. According to North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services, both occupants were out of the vehicle by the time they arrived. One occupant had a minor injury and both were tended to by EMS. Also on the scene were the RCMP.

Saturday, around 2:25 p.m, emergency crews responded again to a collision at the intersection of 19th Avenue and 100th Street involving two vehicles.

There were no injuries and some fluids were cleaned up at the scene. On the scene was NBFES, the RCMP, EMS. City maintenance crews were also on the scene to assess a traffic light that was damaged during the collision. One vehicle had to be towed away.
