PRINCE ALBERT – A man arrested after RCMP received a report of suspicious vehicles parked in Mistawasis First Nation remains in custody.

Forty-nine-year-old Fenton Sasakamoose had another appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Nov. 24. He is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of the proceeds of property derived from crime, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of ammunition while prohibited.

The charges against Sasakamoose haven’t been proven in court.

According to RCMP, on Oct. 31 they found two trucks that appeared to be abandoned on Mistawasis First Nation. Inside the trucks they found 242 grams of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, two small bags of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, seven large knives and other edged weapons, bear spray, an assortment of ammunition, pills, narcotics, and open alcohol.

Police arrested Sasakamoose on Nov. 2.
