Between 6 a.m. Saturday, July 18 and 6 a.m. Sunday, July 19, North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service in the noted time period, including:
Saturday, July 18
• There was a call at 8:37 a.m. reporting a fight at a neighbouring residence on the 1400 block of 101st Street. Officers attended and there was a physical fight going on, but no one was injured. One intoxicated female was arrested at the residence and held in custody until she was sober to prevent any further issues.
• There was a report of a fight on the 1400 block of 101st Street at 10:05 a.m. WPD Ambulance was dispatched when the officers attended and found that there was one individual with non-life-threatening injuries. One female youth was arrested and held in custody until she was sober. The investigation is ongoing.
• An assault was reported on Mosquito First Nation at 10:42 a.m. The female victim was treated for minor injuries at the residence by WPD Ambulance and a 22-year-old woman has been charged with assault in relation to the incident.
• A vehicle driver was given an alcohol-related driving suspension around 3:22 p.m. after an officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 40.
• Officers located an impaired driver on Highway 16 west of Battleford at 9:40 p.m. The 58-year-old male driver was arrested, charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and was held in custody to appear in court. A male passenger in the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants and released from custody when he was sober to appear in court at a later date.
• A bicycle was reported stolen from the 1300 block of 109th Street at 11:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 19
• Officers responded to a complaint of an assault on 28th Street West in Battleford around midnight. Once at the residence, the caller said that the fight had only been verbal and not physical. The other party to the argument had already left the house and there were no further issues.
• Harley Gardiner, age 26, is wanted for aggravated assault in connection with an assault that was reported at 1:30 a.m. The victim received medical attention immediately for her severe, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers also arrested six people for alcohol-related offences, there were five disturbances reported, one motor vehicle collision, five traffic complaints, one nuisance 911 call, three false alarms and one person reported missing that has already been located.
