Alleged thief too young to be charged

Between 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, Battlefords RCMP responded to 20 calls for service. Monday 2:25 p.m. - Wallet located on ground outside Boston Pizza was turned into the detachment. 1:59 p.m.

Between 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, Battlefords RCMP responded to 20 calls for service.


Monday


2:25 p.m. - Wallet located on ground outside Boston Pizza was turned into the detachment.


1:59 p.m. - Complaint of theft involving a youth who is too young to charge. Youth was spoken to by members and follow up with family.


2:02 p.m. - Complaint of motor vehicle hit and run at a parking lot near the Frontier Mall. Owner of the vehicle involved in the collision has been identified and investigation is continuing with charges pending outcome.


4:11 p.m. - Youth reported as unlawfully at large from Drumming Hill Youth Centre.


4:16 p.m. - 911 call from Walmart parking lot where the complainant accidentally locked the keys as well as a two-year-old in the running vehicle. Members attended and the situation was resolved.


6:04 p.m. - Found bicycle turned into detachment.


9:26 p.m. - Report of a two-vehicle collision at the parking lot of the Frontier Mall. Damage to vehicles was light and there were no injuries.


Tuesday


12:11 a.m. - Complaint of theft of vehicle from the 1300 block of 110th Street. Vehicle was left running outside with the keys in it. Vehicle was a 2005 GMC Duramax diesel truck, blue and grey. The name "CARSONS" is on the front doors of the truck. Licence plate for the work vehicle was not provided.


3:24 a.m.- Report of a male smashing the windows of a truck on the 1400 block of 104th Street.


5:11 a.m. - Report of an assault taking place at a residence on the 500 block of 102nd Street.


Several other minor assistance calls were responded to, including driving complaints, two reports of criminal harassment and two reported accidents. One alarm call attended proved to be false. Two child welfare investigations were also conducted.
