Arrest made after attempted quad theft

North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Sunday, July 12 and 6 a.m. Monday, July 13.

Sunday

• There was a report that a vehicle window had been smashed overnight on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive.

• A vehicle on the 1400 block of 99th Street had a window smashed overnight.

• Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on 106th Street near 12th Avenue. No one was injured in the crash and it is still being investigated.

• A 19-year-old man was charged with breaching the curfew conditions of his probation order.

Monday

• Officers did a curfew check just after midnight and charged a 44-year-old man with failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order when he was not home. The man has already appeared in court on the charge.

• There was a complaint in Mosquito First Nation that someone was trying to steal a quad from property at 1 a.m. A male youth was charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

• A male youth was charged with failing to comply with the curfew conditions of his recognizance after officers did a curfew check and discovered he wasn’t home during the specified hours.

• There was a report of a vehicle that was broken into on Gregory Drive overnight and items were stolen from it.

• A business on South Railway Avenue was broken into during the weekend and the exterior of the building was damaged.

• There was a window damaged over the weekend on the 1300 block of 109th Street.

• A vehicle was damaged on the 1300 block of 109th Street over the weekend.

In addition, there were four people arrested for alcohol related offences, one disturbance reported, two minor collisions, two traffic complaints, five nuisance 911 calls and three false alarms.
