Battlefords RCMP are reporting that an arrest was made in connection to a break and enter of a business on the 1700 block of 100th Street in North Battleford.
Michael Rousseau, 39, of Delmas is charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property. He was scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial court Monday, June 14.
The incident took place June 12, with RCMP responding to the business shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday. According to the news release from RCMP’s Neil Tremblay, shortly after 6 a.m., a male suspect forcibly gained entry to a business and made off with cash and merchandise.
Police were able to later positively identify a man who was arrested on the morning of June 13 while officers were investigating an unrelated matter on the 900 block of 108th Street. The man was arrested without incident, and some of the stolen property was recovered.
