Assault with hockey sticks really just a serious game

More than 35 calls for service/occurrences were responded to be Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15. Three false alarms and three nuisance 911 calls were also dealt with Friday 6:47 a.m.

Friday


6:47 a.m. - Report of man and woman arguing, led to man being charged for breaching his no alcohol conditions.


1:10 p.m. - Report of graffiti spraypainted on the Knights of Columbus building. Still under investigation.


1:57 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated and unwanted person at residence, arrested and held for sobering.


1:59 p.m. - Report of a non-reportable motor vehicle collision in the Frontier Mall parking lot.


2:04 p.m. - Two teenagers reported missing. The two, aged 15 and 13, ran away from BUH. Police report both were located by Monday evening.


3:34 p.m. - Report of male youth who appeared sick and needed assistance. Located at residence with family and fine.


9:17 p.m. - Female youth located intoxicated on 101st Street, arrested and charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.


9:27 p.m. - Complaint of assault with hockey sticks on Borden Crescent, turned out to be a serious game of street hockey.


9:28 p.m. - Complaint of man knocking and kicking at door on Laurier Crescent, man left before police arrived and not located.


9:54 p.m. - Complaint of man going door-to-door offering to shovel driveways. Spoken to and advised that daytime would be a better time for this.


10:46 p.m. - Complaint of a person on no contact conditions driving past a residence. Vehicle located parked some distance away. No charges.


11:10 p.m. - Male located outside the detachment drinking open alcohol. He was found to be on conditions not to consume alcohol, abide by a curfew and had warrants. He was arrested and charged accordingly.


11:46 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated male refusing to leave a hotel, arrested and held for sobering.


Saturday


1:30 a.m. - Report of an intoxicated male refusing to get into a vehicle. When police attended he had been taken home by family.


2:07 a.m. - Multiple calls of a male subject in a residence on 104th Street with a handgun. Residence searched and no handgun located. Occupants of residence intoxicated and said no one called police, however calls came from the residence.


4:15 a.m. - Complaint of loud party on 103rd Street. Warning issued.


5:23 a.m. - Complaint of assault at a residence on 103rd Street. One male suspect in custody and charges pending.
