It was a routine and brief Battleford town council meeting Monday night, with councillors getting through all of the business of the meeting in a little over 15 minutes.
Two resolutions were voted on. A resolution authorizing the mayor and administrator to sign the access development agreement regarding Lot 2 Block 98 Plan 10213549 with Battleford Towne Square passed unanimously.
Also, a request by Bernadette and Lyle Leslie to purchase 30 feet of green space was denied, due to drainage concerns.
In the discussion on the other issues, Mayor Derek Mahon noted construction has started on the Battlefords Bridge and the speed limit have been reduced on the northbound lane to 40 km/h. The signs to that effect are up; as well, the northbound drivers must yield to the traffic from Lloydminster on Highway 16.
"Pay attention to the signs and watch out for the folks coming from Lloydminster," said Mahon.
