Tuesday launches the campaign kickoff for the Empty Stocking Fund in the Battlefords with their annual beef on a bun.
The annual fundraiser to go towards the Empty Stocking Fund's efforts to supply hampers to those less fortunate this Christmas will be held at Third Avenue United Church in North Battleford, at 1301 - 102nd St.
It will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Prices are $6 for beef on a bun, cake, drink and coleslaw, or $5 with a non-perishable food item. Takeout is also available.
Beyond that event, the Empty Stocking Fund has a series of important dates and deadlines upcoming. Applications for Christmas hampers run from Monday, Nov. 26 to Friday, Dec.7 and run Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Empty Stocking Fund office at 1171 - 101st St.
The Santa's donation boots will be placed in stores from Dec. 3 to 22 at Sobeys, Territorial Mall by Yellow Submarine, Walmart, Frontier Mall outside of Dollarama and the North Battleford Liquor Store.
The Santa's EMS Elves Toy Collections will also take place between Monday, Dec. 3 and Wednesday, Dec. 19, and the Battlefords Ministerial Association annual Christmas carol festival will happen Dec. 11 at 3rd Ave. United Church. Hamper distribution day is scheduled for Dec. 23.
