The chief of the Jasper Fire Department made his way through the Battlefords this past weekend as part of his personal tour to beat MS.
Greg Van Tighem is on a 3,100 kilometre bike ride to raise money for multiple sclerosis.
The ride is called the Yellowhead Highway 16 "End to End" Ride to End MS. Van Tighem's journey began in Masset, B.C. in February and will wrap up in Winnipeg, Man.

Van Tighem was in North Battleford Saturday and was escorted into the city by the fire department. He headed out towards Saskatoon the next day to attend various MS functions there, but not before heading down to the fire hall where he was photographed alongside members of the North Battleford Fire Department.
