Blaine Lake Composite School held its annual school award presentation June 19 in the school gymnasium.

High school students recognized for receiving averages in the 80 per cent range were as follows: Grade 6 recipients were Kathryn Naharney, Desmond Kasper, Adam Horner, Eve Lalonde, Brooklynn Niessen, Austin Martens and Kiara Arcand; Grade 7 recipients were Emily Fiala, Abby Fiala, Austin Sherstobetoff, Terry Peters and Wyatt Radics; Grade 8 recipients were River Janzen, Erica Horner, Amelia Boissoneau and Kiara Desjardins; Grade 9 recipients were Brandi Cameron, Erin Fleury, Dieter Mielczarek, Garrett Woytiuk, Coltin St. Cyer and Micah Redlich; Grade 10 recipients were Jaeyden Kasper, Dylan Pool and Jadon Pool; Grade 11 recipients were Erin Peake, Taralyn Donohue, Jennifer Rettger and Danyelle Hoehne; Grade 12 recipients were Hannah Dicus, Codie Yasieniuk, Jessica Willick, Dalton Clouthier and Chase Crawford.

Students receiving grade averages of 90 per cent and higher: Grade 6 recipients were Celina Szwydky and Chloe Woytiuk; Grade 9 recipient was Cody Dicus; Grade 10 recipient was Brandon Szwydky; Grade 11 recipient was Joy Lee.

Highest academic achievement awards were presented to the following students: Grade 6 was Celina Szwydky, Grade 7 was Austin Sherstobetoff, Grade 8 was River Janzen, Grade 9 was Cody Dicus, Grade 10 was Brandon Szwydky and Grade 11 was Joy Lee.

Most enthusiastic reader award was presented to Grade 5 student Abby Radics.

Most improved award was presented to Grade 6 student Austin Martens; Grade 7 students Trent Keewatin, Josh Verbonac and Braidan Courchene; Grade 8 student Lauryn Arcand; Grade 9 student Kevin Penner; Grade 10 student Sha'Nara Greyeyes and Grade 11 students Austin Ouellette and Jessica Radics.

Students presented with outstanding effort awards included Grade 6 student Celina Szwydky, Grade 7 student Terry Peters, Grade 8 students River Janzen and Kyle Bear, Grade 9 students Coltin St. Cyer and Erin Fleury, Grade 10 students Jaeyden Kasper and Brandon Szwydky, Grade 11 student Joy Lee and Grade 12 student Jessica Willick.

Outstanding school spirit awards were presented to Grade 6 students Brooklynn Niessen and Adam Horner; Grade 7 students Abby Fiala, Emily Fiala and Austin Sherstobetoff; Grade 8 students Amelia Boissoneau and Ethan Verbonac; Grade 9student Adam Hoehne; Grade 10 student Michael Horner; Grade 11 students Austin Ouellette, Tristen Zinn and Jennifer Rettger and Grade 12 students Hannah Dicus, Hannah Redlich, Codie Yasieniuk and Jessica Willick.

The D.A. Popoff Mathematics Award went to Dalton Clouthier. RM of Blaine Lake English Proficiency Award was presented to Jessica Willick. A.P Postnikoff Proficiency Award was presented to Dalton Clouthier and Hannah Dicus. The P. Cheveldayoff Home Economics recipients were River Janzen for Division III and Jessica Willick for Division IV. The BLC Division III Proficiency award was presented to Cody Dicus. The Good Fellowship Award was presented to Jerritt Onishenko and Hannah Dicus.

Junior Athletes of the Year recipients were Cody Dicus and Erica Horner. Senior Athletes of the Year were Chase Crawford and Anna Verbonac.

Football awards were presented to Wyatt Postnikoff for Rookie of the Year and Challen Bowering for Fighting Heart.
