Break and enters dominate the weekend

Battlefords RCMP responded to 131 calls for service over the time period Wednesday June 2nd, 6 a.m. - Sunday June 5th, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:

June 3rd

10:06 a.m.              Report of a stolen vehicle from the Clark Drive area, vehicle described as a blue 2015 Chrysler 200 SK licence plate 251 GEL.

11:05 a.m.              Report of break and enter/theft to an apt in Battleford that is currently being renovated, tools were stolen.

11:28 a.m.              Report of break and enter/theft from a Quonset outside the city, numerous items stolen including a welder, air compressor, battery from a truck along with multiple tools.

6:40 p.m.                Complaint of stolen wallet and Iphone 6, from a vehicle in the parking lot of Tim Hortons, items were left unattended.

9:11 p.m.                Report of theft from a vehicle on the 1700 block of 104th Street, a sum of cash left in the vehicle was stolen.

June 4th

8:05 a.m.                Report of a break and enter/theft from a computer business on the 1200 block of 101st Street, damage to building in order to gain entry, approximately 20 Samsung cell phones were stolen, fingerprints were obtained at scene, matter under investigation.

12:41 p.m.              Report of a stolen bicycle from Campbell Cres area, bicycle described as a BMX, brown/tannish in color.

2:32 p.m.                Complaint of a break and enter to a business near the flats in Battleford, extensive damage done to three points on building in order to gain access, nothing stolen, matter under investigation.

RCMP are again reminding residents of our community to please ensure all vehicles, homes and out buildings are locked, and please ensure any valuables or personal belongings are not left in vehicles.

Police responded to 123 other calls for service including Provincial and Criminal Code Statutes.
