Building permits in July did not see much change from the same month the previous year.
A total of 13 permits were issued for July, down four from the same month in 2012, according to the latest numbers. However, the permit values were up to $1,424,500, which compares to $1,149,000 the previous July.
The July numbers included four new dwelling permits for $1,006,000, one new duplex for $253,000, three garage/carports for $63,000, three residential alterations for $42,500 and two sign permits for $85,000.
Overall, 52 permits have been issued through July 2013 for $10,164,400. That compares to 82 issued for $20,617,900 for the same period in 2012.
The numbers were compiled and submitted to North Battleford council by building inspector Jerry Wintonyk.
