EAST CENTRAL — A new promotion aims to celebrate the best of local businesses, according to our readers, during a tough time.
This summer, the East Central Recorder is hosting a People’s Choice awards.
“This is your chance to bring some public recognition to your favourite east central Saskatchewan businesses,” said Devan Tasa, the Recorder’s publisher.
“Know of a restaurant with great steak? Put their name on the ballot. Know of a great event, gas station, lawyer, pharmacy, greenhouse or any other service? Put their name on the ballot as well.”
With 148 categories, there should be something that covers everyone.
The ballots can be found online at humboldtjournal.ca, as well as in July editions of the East Central Recorder.
Those that fill in 25 or more categories are eligible to win $100 in cash.
Once all of the ballots are in, they will be counted to determine which businesses, according to Recorder readers, are the best at what they do in east central Saskatchewan.
All of the winners will be announced in the Aug. 27 edition of the Recorder.
“Let’s give those local businesses that go above and beyond a boost this summer by letting them know they are appreciated for their services,” Tasa said.
