This week’s focus of the CAA Worst Roads campaign is on tow truck operators who rely on all types of roads to help them do their professional best to assist motorists or cyclists in need. According to Brad Stratychuk, President, Roadside Responders Association of Saskatchewan, “We depend on our roads to be in good operating condition. Our services are requested on Saskatchewan roads at any hour – 24 hours per day – 365 days per year. CAA Saskatchewan Members, law enforcement, first responders, and the commercial industry rely on our ability to arrive safely to their location. While tending to the many requests for service, we depend on the rest of the motoring public and commercial drivers to help keep us safe by slowing to 60 km/h on Saskatchewan highways while passing us at work. We also want to remind motorists to slow down and move over when they see a tow truck operator working in our many municipalities.” Stratychuk added, “We thank the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association, the municipalities, and the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure for the work they do on our roads.”

The results of the 2019 CAA Saskatchewan Worst Roads campaign will be announced on May 9th. CAA acknowledges the improvements made to our roads and highways for the safety of all road users.

Working towards better roads and advocating for the safety for all types of road users is a priority for CAA Saskatchewan.
