Car on fire, misplaced "theft", missing girl

Between Feb. 12at  6 a.m. and Feb.13at 6 a.m., Battlefords RCMP responded to about 30 calls for service, which included the following:

Thursday

 - Complaint made of an assault with a weapon in North Battleford. Investigation reveals the complainant may be suffering from possible mental health issues and the minor injuries were self inflicted. Police and family working to get complainant medical help.

- A report made of a break, enter and theft in North Battleford, later determined to be unfounded as the complainant found the items thought to be stolen.

- A report of a vehicle on 104th Street in North Battleford having had its interior set on fire, no known witnesses or suspects at this time.

- Complaint of uttering threats between two students at a high school in North Battleford. Investigation ongoing.

- 14-year-old girl reported missing by her caregiver, approximately one week after she was last seen. Missing girl located in short order, matter referred to social services for follow up.

- Complaint of break, enter and theft to a garage in the village of Prince area, child's red snowmobile stolen, windshield on stolen skidoo broken during theft.

- Complaint of assault in North Battleford, investigation reveals no assault occurred, dispute between tenants in rental property, landlord following up with tenants.

- Report of attempted computer fraud by telephone solicitation from phone number in Mexico. Complainant wisely declined to provide them with any information concerning his computer and reported to police for information purposes.

- Complaint of intoxicated individuals at Round Dance in North Battleford. Police attended and removed subject of complaint.

- Complaint of intoxicated male threatening to kill his spouse at residence on Red Pheasant First Nation.Police located and arrested subject, charges of uttering threats pending.

- Report of young males dressed in black going through unlocked cars on 103rd Street, North Battleford. Ran when complainant yelled at them, police patrols made, no suspects found.

Friday

- Report of a possible impaired driver in black car with tinted windows, driving erratically south of Battleford on Hwy 4. Police made patrols of the area, but suspect vehicle not found.

- Report of possible domestic violence at residence in North Battleford, investigation ongoing.
