The case against an Edmonton couple caught in the net of the Saskatchewan Roving Traffic Unit on Hwy 16 was adjourned.
Manal Ali Fawaz, 25, and Garnett O’Connor, 23, had appearances scheduled in Lloydminster Provincial Court June 4 to elect how they want to be tried.
They were arrested Feb. 27 after the Maidstone RCMP traffic unit clocked them traveling 174 km/hr in a 110 km/hr speed zone.
Police obtained a search warrant to search the vehicle and found a loaded handgun and 370 grams of crack cocaine in four vacuum-sealed bags.
Both Fawaz and O’Connor were released on bail in April.
The two are scheduled to appear again in Lloydminster Provincial Court July 6 to elect how they want to be tried.
