Case against Dekker adjourned again

The sexual assault charge against Harry Michael Dekker continues to be at a standstill in court, as it has been through much of this year.

The sexual assault charge against Harry Michael Dekker continues to be at a standstill in court, as it has been through much of this year.

The matter once again came up in provincial court in Saskatoon on Thursday, April 4, and was adjourned again, this time to April 18 at 9:30 a.m.

The adjournment was with the consent of the Crown. Lawyer Mark Brayford once again represented Dekker, who did not personally attend court.

Dekker was charged last fall with one count of sexual assault in connection to an alleged incident near Borden on Highway 16.

Since the charge was laid, the matter has come up in provincial court in Saskatoon repeatedly since early January, only to be adjourned each time. Dekker has yet to enter a plea in the case.
