The move to electronic record keeping was discussed by the board of North Saskatchewan River Municipal Health Holdings at a regular meeting July. 15

The board was advised NSRMHH clinics will be moving towards implementation of the new electronic medical record program in mid to the end of September. This will mean training for all physicians and staff and one or more of the clinics may be closed for a short period of time.

Patients are asked to be aware of the possible closures and check well ahead with the clinics for an appointment.

"We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period," the board states in a release.

All physicians returned from holidays the beginning of August.

"The board wishes to thank Dr. Dandugulla, Dr. Tshatshela, Dr. Oidegwu, Nurse Practitioner Warrington and Nurse Practitioner Toews for their dedication and selflessness in providing quality care to our residents," the board says.

Prairie North Health Region and NSRMHH continue to work with a physician through the Saskatchewan International Assessment Physician Program and immigration process. The SIPPA program is now scheduled for the end of August and the board is hoping to have a new physician start clinic practice in later November.

This will bring the organization full complement of four physicians.

The next regular meeting of the board will be Monday Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the R.M. of Mervin office, Turtleford.
