The next North Battleford provincial court date for Randall Nicotine is May 23 by closed-circuit TV.
The date was agreed to at Nicotine’s latest court appearance Wednesday, also by closed-circuit TV. This is his latest appearance on charges stemming from a March 21 police chase south of Battleford on Highway 4.
Nicotine’s lawyer, Andrew Lyster, indicated he just received new disclosure in the case and needed time to go through it with his client. A no-contact order preventing Nicotine from contacting certain individuals was also extended, with two additional individuals added.
The charges against Nicotine include flight from police, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using an imitation firearm in commission of an offence, forcible confinement, child endangerment, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault, assaulting a police officer with weapon, driving while prohibited, resisting arrest, and causing mischief by destroying property.
Nicotine remains in custody.
