Seven people escaped a house fire on Witchekan Lake First Nation early Sunday morning, but police say one occupant, a child, is unaccounted for.
Spiritwood RCMP responded to the call about 1:23 a.m. and by the time they arrived the house was engulfed in flames.
Several occupants of the house were transported to Shellbrook Hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhilation.
The RCMP Fire Scene Examiner along with the Saskatchewan Fire Commissioners Office are investigating the blaze.
