Child not seriously injured when leg run over

It was a relatively quiet 24 hours for Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 when they responded to 15 calls for service/occurrences. Two of those calls were alarms that proved to be false. Monday 7:33 a.m.

It was a relatively quiet 24 hours for Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 when they responded to 15 calls for service/occurrences.


Two of those calls were alarms that proved to be false.


Monday


7:33 a.m. - Call to a residence on 100th Street regarding a domestic dispute. Subject arguing, no assaults or other criminal acts alleged. Members remained to keep the peace as one subject removed their belongings and left.


8:06 a.m. - Vehicle parked overnight on Clark Drive had lock tampered with, no entry gained.


9:12 a.m. - Vehicle parked overnight on 800 block of 99th Street had ignition tampered with.


12:22 p.m. - Unwanted guest, intoxicated at a residence on 102nd Street. 54-year-old woman arrested for mischief and held in custody until sober.


8:35 p.m. - Complaint of domestic dispute at a residence on 96th Street. Subjects arguing loudly, one had already left when police arrived.


8:42 p.m. - Eight-year-old child injured after the vehicle he was attempting to get into started backing up prematurely on 110th Street, and ran over the child's leg. Fortunately the child did not suffer any serious injuries. Still under investigation, alcohol was not a factor.
