The annexation process for land in the city of North Battleford’s southeast near Saskatchewan Hospital proceeded to the public hearing phase Monday night.
The proposed annexation is for 350 acres of land currently situated in the RM of North Battleford, lands that include city assets such as the boat launch and the F.E. Holliday water treatment plant.
No objections were filed as of Monday’s hearing, which means the process can move on to the next phases. The annexation process still has a long way to go, including determining how it will be zoned under the Zoning Bylaw and Official Community Plan, as well as filing an official application to the province.
