Communities in Bloom in North Battleford is offering matching grants to encourage businesses to beautify with flowers and plants.
The matching grants, up to $100, are available to purchase outdoor flower arrangements or pots to enhance a business's appearance. The first 25 businesses belonging to the downtown business improvement district qualify.

Participants can then purchase flowerpots and keep the receipts. Pots can be displayed outside businesses and participants are invited call Nora or Charlotte to visit the business and possibly take a picture for the community profile. At that time North Battleford Communities in Bloom will pick up the receipts and have participants sign an invoice for 50 per cent of the purchase up to $100.
Also Northern Nurseries will offer a 10 per cent discount for downtown businesses involved in the program.
