Maher Park is located on the northwest part of the city, west of McIntosh Park and Kinsmen Park.
Maher Park was subdivided in the 60s and built out over the next two decades. The neighbourhood was named after Mayor H.J. Maher (1963). However, the Maher name is deeply rooted in the heritage of North Battleford. In 1913, H. Maher sat on the first city council.
