Hudson Bay police investigating break-ins

Anyone or who witnessed suspicious activity in the RM’s of Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain around the time of the break-ins is asked to contact police.

HUDSON BAY — Hudson Bay RCMP continue to investigate two break and enters in two rural municipalities in the area.

On July 1 at approximately 11 a.m., Hudson Bay RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a business in the RM of Hudson Bay.

Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals broke into the business, rummaged through it, and stole a sum of cash. Investigators believe the break-in occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on June 27 and the morning of July 1, but the exact date and time is unknown.

On July 14 at approximately 8:20 a.m., Hudson Bay RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a business in the RM of Porcupine Plain.

Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals broke into the business and stole a sum of cash and collectable coins. A lock on one of the business’s doors was also damaged. Investigators believe the break in occurred sometime between midnight on July 13 and 6 a.m. on July 14.

Anyone with information about these incidents, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the RM’s of Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain around the time of the break-ins, is asked to contact police by calling 310-RCMP.
