The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 24 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Included in those calls were four breach of peace/disturbing the peace calls, one 911 Act, three Mental Health Act calls, three traffic investigations/complaints and one child welfare investigation.
Tuesday
8:22 a.m. - Complaint of a vehicle being keyed in the 1100 block of 109th Street. This was the second time it has happened this week.
8:29 a.m. - Complaint of a dangerous driver in a business parking lot.
12:46 p.m. - Complaint of a man peeking over fences and looking in people's windows on 109th Street. Patrols were made. Results negative.
1:29 p.m. - Complaint at a restaurant of an older man approaching a young woman and making inappropriate comments to the woman. The man put his arm around the woman making her uncomfortable. Members attended to learn that the elderly man had been asking the woman about her piercings and didn't intend any harm. The man was warned that this type of behaviour is inappropriate as it can make people feel uncomfortable.
5:30 p.m. - Report from a local service provider that they received an anonymous call regarding the safety of a woman and her child after her home had been observed to be in disrepair. The woman and child were located by members are safe.
5:32 p.m. - Complaint of bullying over Facebook.
6:36 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man at the bus depot. The man was lodged until sober.
6:47 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man at the Hospital. Members attended. However the man was gone on arrival.
6:58 p.m. - Complaint of a break and enter into a residence on Trudeau Street. Homeowner and grandson at home when a man entered their residence through an unlocked back door wielding a knife. The victims fled out of the house to the neighbours and called police. Members attended. Extensive patrols were made in the area, but results negative. The suspect fled shortly after the home occupants fled and is described as being 16 to 20 years of age, wearing something over his face, a red bandana, a grey sweater and blue jeans. This investigation is ongoing.
10:13 p.m. - Complaint of hit and run on 100th Street. Minor vehicle damage. Investigation is ongoing.
