For the year to date through the end of November, 46 permits have been issued for $7.8 million, compared with 64 permits for $25.7 million a year earlier. Last year’s numbers set a record for building permits in the town.
In November, only one permit was issued, however it was valued at $475,000, a residential project. It’s one of 14 new builds so far this year, worth a total of almost $5.9 million.
There have also been 12 permits for residential renovations totalling $199,900 to date, five garage and shed permits worth $101,000 and three mobile home permits worth $312,890 for a total residential value of $6.4 million.
Permits for industrial and institutional permits, plus the Town of Battleford’s own projects, including an upgrade of the sewage pump station in the highway commercial area, brings the total to $7,847,419.
These numbers were reported at Monday’s meeting of Battleford town council
Councillors also approved a permit for December, a basement development on Battle Springs Way worth $30,000.
