Coyote sightings pursued, but critter not located

It was a busy weekend for Battlefords RCMP, with members responding to 80 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3. Friday 8:50 a.m. - Two -vehicle collision on 13th Avenue. No injuries.

It was a busy weekend for Battlefords RCMP, with members responding to 80 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3.

Friday

8:50 a.m. - Two -vehicle collision on 13th Avenue. No injuries. Both vehicles towed from scene. One driver charged with failing to yield.

11:30 a.m. - Reported coyote sighting on 102nd Street. Patrols negative.

4:07 p.m. - Theft of mail reported on 96th Street. Suspect known to complainant.

8:03 p.m. - Intoxicated man on 2600 block of 98th Street with no place to go. A friend was located and agreed to take him in and subject taken to residence.

9:38 p.m. - Intoxicated woman passed out in a cab on 101st Street. Subject found to be wanted on numerous warrants. Arrested without incident and remanded for court on Monday.

Saturday

2:00 a.m. - 24 hour driving suspension after vehicle stop on Railway Avenue East for driving while over .04.

3:32 a.m. - 56-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication after report on 105th Street of an unknown woman trying to gain access to a residence.

3:55 a.m. - Noise complaint on Winder Crescent. Warning given.

6:31 a.m. - Single vehicle collision with a post on 110th Street. No injuries, vehicle towed.

10:30 a.m. - Mischief to property on Ross Crescent. Window to residence damaged. Suspects known to complainant.

11:25 a.m. - Report of two young boys under 12 in area of Clements Drive, walking around carrying what appeared to be pellet or air guns. Patrols negative.

11:30 a.m. - Another coyote sighting, this one near Douglas Avenue. Search of area negative.

12:40 p.m. - 911 call to a residence on St. Laurent Drive. Intoxicated man whowas causing problems refusing to leave,. 44-year-oldarrested for breach of the peace. No charges pursued.

12:43 p.m. - 47-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication, found extremely intoxicated and unable to stand at 13th Avenue near 101st Street.

2:05 p.m. - Vehicle parked on 500 block of 101st Street had mirror damaged sometime overnight.

3:19 p.m. - 31-year-old man arrested for public intoxication after complaint of man, intoxicated and belligerent on 107th Street. Facing charge under Liquor Act.

4:00 p.m. - 41-year-old man arrested on 101st Street for public intoxication.

4:25 p.m. - 23-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication off 100th Street.

7:07 p.m. - 33-year-old man arrested and now facing charge ofvoyeurism after an investigation into an allegation made on Friday evening. Man has since been released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on March 3 at 10 a.m. Investigation is ongoing.

7:15 p.m. - Unwanted, intoxicated guest on Trudeau Street. Subject left when police called and was not located.

8:06 p.m. - 911 call of an assault on 114th Street. Numerous intoxicated persons located at scene. Complainant located was not injured and was now stating she did not want any charges pursued. A 55-year-old woman was arrested for assault and held in custody until sober. Two men, ages 24 and 42 were arrested for public intoxication, and a third man, 22, was arrested for obstruction and public intoxication after repeatedly interfering with the investigation as a self identified fountain of legal knowledge. All held in custody until sober.

8:27 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated person at a residence on Trudeau Street causing problems. When police arrived, they were advised that now the person was behaving and everything was fine.

9:35 p.m. - 56-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication located near 100th Street and 11th Avenue.

10:27 p.m. - 911 call to a residence on 800 block of 110th Street of an assault in progress with a knife. A 51-year-old man was arrested on scene and has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon. He remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday. No on was injured in the alleged assault. A 16-year-old female youth is also facing charges of Assault, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Sunday

1:19 a.m. - Vehicle damaged and broken into while parked on Clark Drive. Two suspects, one man and one woman, witnessed by complainant fleeing the scene in a dark four-door car with an unknown plate number.

3:09 a.m. - Caller on Clark Drive reporting there is a van parked along the sidewalk that has been running for 20 minutes with no one in it.

4:15 a.m. - 24-hour driving suspension after vehicle stop on 100th Street.

9:40 a.m. - 911 call of a domestic disturbance on 106th Street. Two subjects located. No criminal offence, just arguing. Warned about the noise.

9:58 a.m. - Vehicle parked on Kildeer Drive overnight sustained damage to steering column.

4:08 p.m. - Vehicle parked on St Laurent Drive overnight sustained damage to steering column.

7:20 p.m. - Harassment complaint. Two subject arguing, spreading rumours about each other of Facebook. Both agreed to stop after discussion with responding member.

10:25 p.m. - 911 complaint of an assault at a residence on 107th Street. A 21-year-old man arrested on scene has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and three counts of breach of probation. The victim was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
